The 7/8th Grade White Team is anchored by the fabled Scranton 6 made up of 7th graders Maggie “Lucas” Huggins, Alina Hatfield, Mo Powers, Rayna Fischer, Ann-Marie LaPean and Liv Salazer. They were joined by first year Legend Kaleigh McGarry, and longtime Blue Team members Emalia Wagner and Sophia La Porta. The 7th graders are a deeply talented group that play phenomenal team basketball. After playing a challenging 8th grade schedule in the Fall, culminating with a thrilling tournament at Red Bank Valley, the team had a very successful spring season. They combined with the White team to finish 4-0 in the Clearfield Shootout, advanced to the final four of the Juniata YMCA March Madness Tournament and split four games in the always tough NEPA Flames Shootout, to go 7-4.

2017-18 Alina Hatfield completed her 5th year as an
original Legend. Alina showed great
mobility on the post, and used her quickness to her advantage. She is instrumental in breaking the press
using her quickness to the ball, ball-handling and precise passing. She had 44 rebounds and 9 blocked shots
despite missing the spring season. In
her career Alina has 620 rebounds (2nd one her team), 172 blocked
shots (1st on her team), and 248 points.
2016
Alina completed her 4th year as a Legend. She missed the first 7 games of the year with
a foot injury, but more than made up for lost time. She was a huge presence in the paint on both
defense and offense. She led the team in
rebounding and blocked shots over the winter season. She finished second in rebounds (313), first
in blocked shots (73), and had 32 assists from the post. She had ten points in a game multiple times,
including a 5-5 shooting performance in the NEPA shootout. Had a season high 15
rebounds. Finished with 110 points on
the season.
2015-16 Highlights
Alina completed her 3rd year as a Legend. She led the team in offensive (103) rebounds
and blocked shots (79), and was second in defensive (108) and total rebounds
(211) despite missing several games with an injury. She was third on the team in scoring (95
points). She joined the 6th
grade team as a part timer before missing time with an injury. She had 10 points in a game twice for the 6th
grade team, and had 49 rebounds in the 4 game NEPA Shootout. | #4 Guard Ann-Marie LaPean
2017-18 Ann-Marie LaPean completed her third year with the
Legends. She is a quick defender and
dynamic ball handler. Ann-Marie led the
team with 35 assists and was tied for 3rd with 20 steals, to go with
44 points. Ann-Marie had 15 second-half
points to total a career high 17 in a tough loss in the NEPA Flame Shootout in
Scranton, PA. She had 12 assists and 31
points in the 4 games in Scranton. In
her career, Ann-Marie has 87 assists, 121 steals and 180 points.
2016
Ann-Marie had a great year playing point guard and the
three guard. She excelled handling the
ball against the press, and playing defense at the top of the zone or on the
opponent’s top guard. Set a NV record
with 11 steals in one game. Tied a NV
record with 7 assists in one game. Had a career high 8 points in one game. Finished with 102 points, 3rd on
the team in steals (72) and second in assists (38). Led the team in steals in the NEPA shootout.
2015-16 Highlights
Ann-Marie
completed her first year as a Legend.
She played all three guard positions and was third on the team in
assists. She led all guards and was
third on the team in offensive rebounds.
She was a defensive stalwart and finished the season with 29
steals. Led the team with 8 points in

2017-18
Liv Salazer completed her 3rd year as a
Legend. Liv played post and guard, and
brought her usual intensity to the court.
She was second on the team in scoring with 63 points, and third in
rebounds with 58. She also shot 50% from
the foul line. Liv stood out in the Red
Bank Valley Tournament where she led the team in scoring with 39 points,
rebounds with 24, and steals with 7. She
had her season high 12 points in a tough 3 point OT loss. In her career she has 614 points 92nd
on her team), 744 rebounds (1st on her team), 88 assists, 241 steals
and 71 blocked shots.
2016
Liv had a tremendous season playing post and guard. She led the team in scoring (362 points),
rebounds (351), steals (108) and foul shots attempted (190). Scored 16 points in the first win of the
season. Had 17 points in the first round
of the JMC winter playoffs. Score 18 in
a playoff win in Philipsburg. Best
all-around game was in NEPA shootout with 21 rebounds and 18 points. Had a career high 19 points.
2015-16 Highlights
Liv completed her first year as a Legend. She led the team in defensive (120) and total
rebounds (218) and steals (67), and was second on the team in assists and
scoring (104) points. Liv also played
for the 6th grade winter team.
She had a huge steal with 3 seconds to go and made a game tying layup in
the winter league. She had 45 rebounds and 33 points in the four game NEPA
Shootout. .

| | | #12 Guard Rayna Fischer
2017-18 Rayna Fischer completed her 4th year as a
Legend. She led the team in scoring with
162 points, 11 three pointers, and 31 made foul shots, shooting over 50%. Her 20 steals were tied for 3rd on
the team. She scored in double digits 5
times, with a season high of 16. She
scored 41 points on 40% shooting from 2 point range and 3-5 for three pointers
in the NEPA Flames Shootout. In her
career, she has 961 points (1st all-time), 42 three pointers (1st),
63 assists, 408 rebounds, 229 steals and 80 blocked shots.
2016
Rayna had another great year playing the big guard. Set career high for a single game for
rebounds (11), blocks (5) and assists (5).
Was second on the team in scoring with 329 points and shot over 50% from
the foul line. Led team in 3 pointers
(and shot 20% from beyond the arc).
Scored 18 points in OT victory over the Hot Shots. Scored a career high 22 points against the
Hot Shots in the Championship victory.
Was third on the team in rebounds (159), second in steals (81) and had
31 assists.
2015-16 Highlights
Rayna completed her second year as a Legend. She led the team in scoring (132) points,
three pointers, foul shots attempted and made, and foul shooting percentage
(53%). She also led the guards in
rebounding with 79. She had several big
games including scoring 45 points in the 4 game NEPA Shootout, with a high of
15 in one game.
| #13 Guard Morgan Powers
2017-18 Mo Powers completed her 4th year as a Legend, playing
all three guard positions. She is a
defensive stalwart and accurate long range shooter. Mo’s strong defense keyed a tough three
point win in the NEPA Flame Shootout in Scranton PA, where she also had 10
points. Mo had 12 assists (3rd
on the team) and led the team with 25 steals.
Her 7 three pointers were third on the team. In her career, Mo has 62 assists, 96 steals
and 169 points. Her 13 three pointers
are second on her team all-time.
2016
Mo was known for igniting the team by hitting a big basket
or taking a charge, and many times changed the game with one play. She completed her 3rd year as a
Legend. Her biggest 3-pointer may have
been her first that came against the Hot Shots with her team down 5, which put
them on a run that ended in victory. Mo led the team in 3 pointers in the
Philipsburg league, and led the team in three point shooting percentage (33%). She had a career
high 10 points in one game. She finished
second on the team in assists with 34, and led the team in drawing offensive
fouls. She finished the year with 101 points.
2015-16 Highlights
Mo completed her second year as a legend. Mo played all three guard positions and
developed into a long range shooting threat as well as a defensive
specialist. Mo was third on the team in
assists, had 29 steals, and was second on the team in foul shooting
percentage. She had 14 points and 10
steals in the 4 game NEPA Shootout.
| #20 Guard Kaleigh McGarry
2017-18 Kaleigh McGarry completed her first year as a Legend and
grew into a major contributor at guard. Kaleigh
had 50 rebounds and 14 steals to go with 32 points. Her main contributions came in the spring
season. She had 11 points and was second
on the team with 18 rebounds at the NEPA Flames Shootout. She was second the team in scoring in the
Juniata YMCA March Madness, including a career high 7 points in one game.

2017-18 Maggie “Lucas” Huggins completed her 5th season
as an original Legend. Maggie, an
experience point guard, also played post this season, dominating inside. She led her team with 105 rebounds and 36
blocked shots. Her 31 assists and 75
points were both second on the team. She
had 14 points, 10 rebounds and 7 blocks in a tight win at the NEPA Flames
Shootout in Scranton, PA. Maggie had 5
three pointers and was tied for first on the team with 25 steals. In her career, Maggie has 123 assists (1st on
her team), 323 rebounds, 132 blocked shots (2nd on her team), and
248 points.
2016
Maggie “Lucas” completed her 4th year as a
Legend, and it was outstanding. She
played a strong PG all year, and expanded her game by adding time at the post
and as a backline defender. She was 3rd
in scoring with 114 points, led the team in assists (58), and was second in
blocked shots (52). She set career highs
for single games with 5 blocked shots, 5 assists and 10 rebounds. She had thee 3-pointers in the NEPA shootout.
2015-16 Highlights
Maggie “Lucas” Huggins completed her third year as a
Legend. She was the starting PG and led
the team with 30 assists. She was 4th
on the team in scoring with 49 points, was third in steals (40) and second in
blocked shots (37). She had 16 points
and 10 assists in the 4 game NEPA Shootout.
Maggie often drew the opponent’s best offensive player as a defensive
assignment.

2017-18
Emalia Wagner had a strong season on the White Team. She also played on the Blue Team. Emalia was second on the team with 68
