Sydney "Syd Vicious" Mikesic

Syd “Vicious” Mikesic played 5 years as a Legend, starting in the fall season of 4th grade, and entered the Nittany Valley Hall of Fame. Syd was aggressive from the start, was a tenacious defender, and found ways to score around the basket. Syd worked very hard to become a strong player at both guard and post. Syd led her team in rebounding 3 times and was second 6 times. She led her team in scoring once and was second once. She led her team in steals once and was second twice, and led her team in blocked shots once. She was on second place tournament teams in 4th grade (twice), 7th grade and 8th grade. She was on a championship tournament team once and an undefeated league championship team. She finished her career with 412 rebounds, 200 steals (5th all-time) and 330 points.

2023-24

Syd missed several games for school sports but still had a strong fall season.  She led the team in rebounds in the White Rose Tournament averaging 7 per game and was third in steals.  Syd had an impressive spring season in the two tournaments in which she played, including the 2nd place finish in Lewistown and the 3-1 shootout in Scranton.  She had 32 rebounds, 29 steals and 35 points.  She was double digits in all three categories in both tournaments. 


2022-23

Syd had a strong season finishing second on her team in rebounds with 85 and scoring with 74 points. She had a strong Fall Fest when she finished second on her team in rebounds.  She had her first career three pointer in the White Rose Shootout.  In the Spring she led her team in rebounding in the Scranton Spring Shootout and led her team in scoring in the State College Slam Fest. 

2021-22

Syd finished the season with 151 points, 169 rebounds (2nd on team), 81 steals (2nd on team) and 23 blocked shots.  She led her team in scoring in the Fall Festival Tournament. Syd had 10 points twice, and had 8 points, including 6 huge second half points in the championship game of the Lewistown March Madness tournament victory. She was second on the team in rebounding in the Winter and Spring seasons.

2019-20

Syd led her team in rebounds (91) and defensive rebounds (55) and was tied for second in scoring (53 pts).  She was third on her team in steals (59) and led posts with 6 assists.  Syd shot over 20% from the floor.  She had a strong Lewistown March Madness Tournament leading the team with 19 points including 10 in the semi-final.  Syd showed a good ability to handle the ball making her a threat to drive to the basket making her valuable against the press break and open court.

Ally "The Express" Swauger

Ally “The Express” Swauger played 6 years as a Legend, starting in 3rd grade, and entered the Nittany Valley Hall of Fame. Ally was a big contributor from the start playing guard and post using her speed and quickness on defense. She worked hard and became a top all-around point guard that could score and set up her teammates. She led her team in assists 5 times and was second 3 times. She led her team in rebounds once and was 2nd three times. She led her team in steals 8 times and was 2nd 4 times. Ally was on 2nd place tournament teams in 4th grade (twice), 7th grade and 8th grade, was on championship tournament teams in 6th grade and 8th grade. She was on a second place league team in third grade, and was on an undefeated league championship team. She finished her career with 402 points, 425 rebounds, 168 assists (3rd all-time) and 377 steals (first all-time).

2023-24

Ally had a strong fall season leading the team in assists (18) and steals (41) while scoring 49 points (3rd on the team).  She also led the team in assists and steals in the Summit league.  She had a huge spring season playing inspired basketball her team’s Championship in the Scranton Tournament.  She ran the show at point guard and shot 50% from the floor, including a huge three-point play late in the second half of the championship game.  In the Spring she led her team in assists (35) and steals (58) and scored 109 points including 12 three pointers. 


2022-23

Ally had an exceptional year and got stronger as the season progressed.   She led her team in assists (47) and rebounds (93) and scored 77 points.  She was second on the team with 57 steals. She had an excellent Fall Fest Tournament, leading the team in assists.  In the second place finish in the Juniata Valley March Madness she also led her team in assists and scored 20 points.  She also had double digit assists in the Scranton Spring Shootout. 


2021-22

Ally finished the season with 43 assists, 93 rebounds, 78 steals and 102 points. She had a season high 12 points in the team's double OT victory over Bellwood-Antis and had a strong Fall Shootout scoring 10 points. She was tied for the team lead in steals with 12 in the Lewistown March Madness Tournament to go with 19 points, 9 steals and 8 assists.  Led team in steals in Fall season. Had 5 assists in the championship clinching game in the Moshannon Valley Winter League.

2020-21

Ally played three games and has developed into a fine point guard.  Her speed, quickness and aggressiveness make her an outstanding defender.  She moves the ball well on offense and uses the entire court.  In the 3 game Spring Shootout in Scranton Ally was second on her team in assists, and led her team with 13 steals to go with 15 rebounds to lead all guards.  Ally worked hard throughout the season at practice to improve her ball handling with both hands.

2019-20

Ally used her athleticism to create steals on defense and her court vision to create scoring opportunities for her teammates.  She led the team in assists (19), steals (102) and offensive rebounds (44). She finished 3rd on the team in rebounds (81).  Ally developed into a point guard during the season.  She led the team with 21 foul shot attempts.  Had a strong Lewistown March Madness Tournament including 8 points and 5 steals against Huntingdon.  She finished the season with 35 points.  In her career Allie has 130 steals, 138 rebounds, 23 assists and 64 points.

2018-19

Ally Swauger played post and was a big presence in the paint on offense and defense.   She was 4th on the team in scoring with 29 points, second in rebounding with 57 and third in steals with 28.  Ally ran the pick and roll very effectively and was very active on defense.  Game high was 6 points.  Grabbed the final rebound to clinch the semi-final victory.  Led the team in offensive rebounds with 39.

Katherine "Special K" Savitski

Katherine played five years as a Legend and entered the Nittany Valley Hall of Fame.  She is quick enough to cover guards and strong enough to stop posts. She can score both outside and on strong drives to the basket. She led her team in steals 2 times and was second 2 more times. She was second in assists 5 times and second in scoring once. She was on second place tournament teams in 4th grade (twice) and 7th grade, and was on an undefeated championship league team. In her career she has 225 points, 175 rebounds, 71 assists, and 166 steals (6th all-time).

2023-24

Katherine had her best season as a Legend.  In the fall she was second in scoring (71 points), assists (12), and steals (32).  She used her speed and strength on offense and defense. She led the team in steals at the White Rose Tournament.  She was also second on the team in steals and assists in the Summit League.  Her season high was 13 points. 



2022-23

Katherine was second on the team in assists (30) and scoring (90 points) and led her team in steals (59).  She was outstanding in the Spring season dishing out 28 assists and grabbing 56 steals.  She had a great Juniata Valley March Madness tournament scoring 25 points, grabbing 20 steals and dishing out 9 assists.  She was second on the team in scoring in the Scranton Spring Shootout with 24 points.  Finished with 18 points in the Scranton April Shootout.  


2021-22

Katherine was 4th on the team in shooting percentage in the Spring season as she found her stroke.  She had a huge lefty layup in traffic in the dramatic comeback win over NEPA NXT. Was one of 4 Legends with double digit rebounds in the Happy Valley Hoopsfest Tournament.  Best game came against Wellsboro with career high 11 points to go with 3 assists and 5 steals.

2020-21

Katherine played in 5 games.  Katherine made huge strides through her hard work at practices throughout the year.  She scored 10 points and made almost 30% of her shots, good for second on the team.  She was also second on the team with 5 assists.   Katherine is a strong player and had 22 rebounds and 11 steals which was third on the team.  Her best game came in the Easter Shootout in Scranton when she had 4 points, 4 rebounds and 5 steals.  Her game high was 6 points.

2019-20

Katherine’s contribution steadily increased as the season went on.  She excelled in the winter shootout and spring tournament.  She had 4 points in the Philipsburg Winter Shootout including a beautiful left-handed move.  She had 6 points and 2 assists in the Lewistown March Madness tournament.  Overall she shot 20% from the floor.  Katherine finished the season with 12 points and 24 steals.

Aryana McCleary


Aryeana is one of the scorers in the region and a strong and rebounder.  She completed her second year as a Legend.

 

2023-24

Aryeana continued her strong play in the fall season.  She led the team in points (126) and rebounds (58) and was 3rd in assists (10).  She averaged 15 points per game at the White Rose tournament.  She led the team in scoring in the Summit League.  Her season high was 22 points.  In the Spring she added 164 points, 22 assists and 59 rebounds.  She shot over 70% from the foul line in the spring. She had 54 points and 16 assists in the Scranton tournament and was instrumental in the Championship run.  In the tournament she was 26-28 from the foul line including 11-12 in the Championship game.  She hit three foul shots in that game with 7 second remaining to give her team a one point lead.  In her career she has 41 three-pointers 772 points 139 steals and 375 rebounds.


2022-23

Aryeana led the 6th grade team with 391 points, 215 rebounds, and 85 steals.  She also led with 12 three-pointers.  She led the team in shooting percentage at 55% and made more than 60% of her foul shots.  She scored over 20 points 11 times and had 8 double-doubles including all four games in the Scranton Spring Shootout.  Had an exciting game winning three point play in the final seconds to help defeat the Storm to clinch the Winter League title.

In her abbreviated spring season she scored 89 points and hit 6 three-pointers.  She had a tremendous Juniata Valley March Madness tournament leading the team in points (70) and rebounds 32 and was 5-11 from three point range.

Cassidy Donaghy

Cassidy completed her second year as a Legend.  She was as an important contributor and was part of two second place and one championship tournament team.

2023-24

Cassidy played an expanded role for the Legends at post.  She had a season high 5 rebounds in the finale of the White Rose Tournament.   She had 11 rebounds in the Fall season.  She increased her productivity in the Spring grabbing 30 rebounds and scoring 6 points, including 2 on a press break in the critical part of the first game victory on the Scranton tournament that ended in a championship.

2022-23

Cassidy gained valuable experience and saw her playing time increase every tournament.  She played important minutes in the Scranton April Shootout in the team’s final victory.

Lyla Reutzel

Lyla completed her first year as a Legend. She saw increased playing time as the season progressed.  She had a strong White Rose Tournament grabbing 5 rebounds and 3 steals. She had 14 rebounds in the Fall.  In the Spring, Lyla transformed her game and was a major contributor on offense and defense.  She had 41 rebounds, 22 steals and 27 points.  She had a huge three pointer in the Championship victory in the Scranton tournament and was a huge defensive presence in that game.

Fiona Knowles

Fiona completed her first year as a Legend.  She played important minutes at off guard and expanded her role as point guard as the season went on.  She scored in the playoffs of the Summit League and was off to a great start in the Spring season before her season was cut short.  In just two tournaments Fiona had 6 points, including a big basket in the Lewistown tournament in which the team took 2nd place.

Camilla Thorsen

Camilla completed her first year as a Legend.  She gained confidence and became more productive as the season progressed.  She had 11 rebounds and 6 points in the Summit League in the Fall.  She became much more productive in the Spring grabbing 21 rebounds.  She enjoyed playing in Scranton scoring all 8 of her points in tournaments there.  She had 4 huge points in the first game victory in the Scranton tournament that ended with the Championship.

Kaelyn Miller

Kaelyn completed her first year as a Legend.  In the Spring she played on the Blue team and in tournaments for the White team.  She made good use of her strength and improved all aspects of her game.  After grabbing 12 rebounds and scoring 8 points in the Fall she had 41 rebounds and 18 points in the Spring.  She played important minutes in the championship victory on the Blue Team in the Scranton tournament and had a thrilling game winning shot in OT at the Scranton Shootout for the White Team.

Ellie Markle

Ellie completed her first year as a Legend.  She was a force in the paint for the Legends all year.  After scoring 33 points and grabbing 33 rebounds (2nd on the team) in the Fall, she raised her game to another level in the Spring.  She was 1st or 2nd on her team in rebounding in almost tournament and finished with 70 points and 84 rebounds in the Spring.  She was also second on her team in blocks.  On the season Ellie had 177 rebounds and 103 points.
