Ally Swauger

Natalie Huggins has developed into a strong playmaker and defender. She completed her second year as a Legend.

Rainey “Megawatt” Walker had a strong season as a part time player bringing great energy to the team. She completed her second year as a Legend.

Mira developed into a floor leader at point guard and is a very well-rounded player. She completed her second year as a Legend.

Ally blossomed into a well-rounded player showing her versatility at all 3 guard positions. She finished her second year as a Legend.

Natalie was 4th on the team in assists (8), all coming during the winter season as she developed her passing skills. She tripled her rebounding total from her first season finishing with 42. Natalie had a knack for grabbing offensive rebounds and hitting put backs. She used her strength to box out bigger players and stop drives to the basket. She was third on the team in rebounding during the winter JMC season. Had a strong Little Cats Winter Tournament with 2 assists and 2 points. Had 8 points on the season.

Rainey is a tough physical player on defense and the boards where she plays much bigger than her size. She grabbed 32 rebounds and 23 steals. She had 10 points in the Philipsburg Winter Shootout including 6 points against the Lady Pirates. She had 6 points in the Lady Cats Winter Tournament. In her career Rainey has 83 points and 123 rebounds.

Mira led her team in shooting percentage (24%) and was tied for second on the team in assists (16) and was second in scoring (53 pts). She uses both her left and right hands to score and make plays. She had 12 points against Mifflin County in the Little Cats Holiday Tournament on 6/10 shooting. She was 2nd in assists and 3rd in steals in the JMC Winter League and tied for the most points in the JMC 5th Grade Fall League. She finished with 51 rebounds and 41 steals on the season. For her career Mira has 103 points, 103 rebounds, 70 steals and 17 assists.

Ally used her athleticism to create steals on defense and her court vision to create scoring opportunities for her teammates. She led the team in assists (19), steals (102) and offensive rebounds (44). She finished 3rd on the team in rebounds (81). Ally developed into a point guard during the season. She led the team with 21 foul shot attempts. Had a strong Lewistown March Madness Tournament including 8 points and 5 steals against Huntingdon. She finished the season with 35 points. In her career Allie has 130 steals, 138 rebounds, 23 assists and 64 points.

Rainey “Megawatt” Walker bought high energy to every game, playing all three guard positions. Was third on the team in scoring with 30 points and led the team in assists with 8. She also finished 5th on the team with 29 rebounds, 4th with 26 steals and 2nd with 7 blocked shots. Her biggest moments came in the semi-final victory when she ran point for the last five minutes of regulation and OT and scored 4 points down the stretch.

Natalie Huggins transitioned from post to guard as the season progressed and was the primary inbounder. Natalie became a strong help defender using her size to disrupt drives to the basket and became more sure handed as the season went on. She had 5 rebounds in the two playoff games. Scored a huge basket in a victory in the Juniata Valley YMCA March Madness.

Mira Coble had a stellar first season playing both post and guard. She was second on the team in assists with 6, 4th in rebounds with 52, 4th on the team in steals with 26 and 2nd in scoring with 50 points. Developed into a strong ball handler with both hands. Had the game winning basket in the semi-final win in which she had 4 points and 6 rebounds. Had 10 points in victory over the Hot Shots.

Ally Swauger played post and was a big presence in the paint on offense and defense. She was 4th on the team in scoring with 29 points, second in rebounding with 57 and third in steals with 28. Ally ran the pick and roll very effectively and was very active on defense. Game high was 6 points. Grabbed the final rebound to clinch the semi-final victory. Led the team in offensive rebounds with 39.

Katherine Savitski

Nora Marsh is a well-rounded post player who makes her presence known on offense and defense. She completed her 1st year as a Legend.

Victoria made great growth at point guard with her strong ball handing and playmaking skills, and is always cool under pressure. She finished her second year as a Legend.

Ruby developed into an offensive and defensive threat at the post. She completed her second year as a Legend.

Katherine joined the team for the winter season and developed into a strong perimeter player.

Katherine’s contribution steadily increased as the season went on. She excelled in the winter shootout and spring tournament. She had 4 points in the Philipsburg Winter Shootout including a beautiful left-handed move. She had 6 points and 2 assists in the Lewistown March Madness tournament. Overall she shot 20% from the floor. Katherine finished the season with 12 points and 24 steals.

Nora led her team in blocked shots (23) and foul shooting percentage, hitting 60% from the charity stripe. She was second on her team in rebounds (92) and offensive rebounds (40), which often led to her trips to the foul line. She led her team in rebounds and blocked shots in the 5th grade Fall season. Nora is a strong defensive player, protecting the paint to help her teammates while covering the other team’s post players. She had 6 points in the Lewistown March Madness Tournament and had a season high 5 points against Clearfield. Had 32 points on the season.

Victoria was tied for second on her team in assists (16). While she focused mainly on moving the ball to open teammates she could score when her team needed her. She had 6 points in the Lewistown March Madness Tournament. She had an exceptional Little Cats Holiday Tournament with 8 points and 4 assists, including 4 points in the championship game. Had 3 assists in the Philipsburg Fall Shootout. Finished the season with 22 points. In her career has 21 assists, 56 rebounds, 48 steals and 30 points.

Ruby was an outstanding interior defender lending support to her teammates while defending the paint. She grabbed 71 rebounds and was 3rd on her team in blocked shots (21). She was second on her team in rebounds during the JMC Winter league. Had a big impact in shootouts and tournaments. Had 6 points in the Lewistown March Madness Tournament, had 11 rebounds (2nd on the team) in the Philipsburg Fall Shootout, and had a huge basket in the semi-finals of the Little Cats Holiday Tournament. Ruby now has 80 rebounds in her career.

Victoria Witmer played all three guard positions and used both the left and right side of the court. She was a sure handed defender grabbing 14 steals and 16 rebounds. She also handed out 5 assists for fourth best on the team. Had an assist and 3 rebounds in the semi-final win. Had 4 second half points in exciting tie at the JMC leading the team in a 9 point comeback. Made first lefty layup for the team.

Ruby Weight made steady progress during the season and became a force on the inside. Ruby developed her boxing out technique and helped seal the inside for rebounds. She was also an aggressive help defender. Had 2 rebounds in a victory over the Hot Shots and a particularly strong defensive game against Tyrone in a tough loss.

Deseray Mobley

Deseray Mobley plays both post and guard showing her versatility. She completed her second season as a Legend.

2019-20

Deseray led her team in points (79), was second in rebounds (80) and second in steals (101). Led her team with 20 points, scoring in all games of the Little Cats Holiday Tournament. Led her team in scoring and steals in the JMC Winter League. She transitioned from post to guard as the season progressed playing all 5 positions. Deseray is an aggressive defender and has the ability to create her own shot. In her career, Deseray has 108 points, 138 rebounds and 155 steals.

Deseray Mobley played post and guard and bought speed and aggression to the floor. She led the team in rebounds with 58, was second in steals with 54 and was tied for third in scoring with 29 points. Led the team with 7 made free throws shooting 44% from the line. Had 10 rebounds in semi-final win. Had 11 points in victory over PO.

Sydney "Syd Vicious" Mikesic

Syd is a dynamic post player with strong moves to the basket and is an excellent exterior defender. She completed her first year on the Legends.

2019-20

Syd led her team in rebounds (91) and defensive rebounds (55) and was tied for second in scoring (53 pts). She was third on her team in steals (59) and led posts with 6 assists. Syd shot over 20% from the floor. She had a strong Lewistown March Madness Tournament leading the team with 19 points including 10 in the semi-final. Syd showed a good ability to handle the ball making her a threat to drive to the basket making her valuable against the press break and open court.

Payton joined the team for the spring tournament season.

Stella Gallagher concluded her Legends career as an outstanding teammate who always gave it her best. She was a strong inside defender and helped move the ball around on offense.

Payton had a strong Philipsburg Winter Shootout in her first games as a Legend. She had 4 points, 11 rebounds (leading her team) and 2 assists. She had 6 rebounds in the championship game of the Lewistown March Madness Tournament. Payton finished the season with 20 rebounds and 4 points.

Stella played high post and interior defense and made her presence felt. She played strong defense and moved the ball from the high post position. In her final game as a Legend, she exploded for 6 second half points in a victory over Clearfield in a fantastic finale.

Stella Gallagher played post and created a lot of problems for the opposing offenses with her activity. She was tenacious on the boards and defense grabbing 7 steals and tipping many passes. She saved her best games for down the stretch. She had 3 steals in the semi-final victory and had 1 more in the championship game.
